Army Green ASA: material and uses

Army Green ASA combines a deep, earthy green tone with UV and weather resistance for outdoor fixtures, brackets, enclosures and functional prints. Made in Indiana, USA from premium virgin ASA resin.

Printing Army Green ASA

Start with a nozzle temperature of 240–260°C and a bed temperature of 90–110°C. Adjust for your printer, build surface and part geometry.

A heated build plate is required and an enclosure is strongly recommended. Keep the printing environment warm and draft-free. Use appropriate ventilation; an enclosure does not replace it.

Drying and storage

If the filament has been left out, dry at 80°C for at least 6 hours before printing. Confirm that your dryer and spool are suitable for that temperature. Store sealed with desiccant between uses.

Material and quality

Made from premium virgin ASA resin and colorant. Published diameter and roundness tolerances: ±0.02 mm. Supplied as 1.75 mm filament on a 1 kg spool.

Army Green ASA FAQ

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. ASA offers UV and weather resistance. Choose a part design and material suitable for the expected load and exposure conditions.

Do I need an enclosure?

An enclosure is strongly recommended, especially for larger prints. A warm, stable printing environment helps reduce warping and layer separation.

Does it need drying?

If left out, dry at 80°C for at least 6 hours using suitable equipment and a temperature-compatible spool.

Can I try a sample first?

Yes. Try a Army Green ASA sample coil to check the color and test your printing setup.
