Dark Cherry Carbon Fiber Extreme PETG PRO: finish and uses
A dark ripe-cherry color with an opaque, slightly textured finish. This carbon-fiber version is darker than the non-carbon-fiber Dark Cherry products. It uses PETG resin with USA-made milled carbon fiber, rather than carbon powder or dust.
Consider it for technical models, fixtures and functional parts where rigidity and a dark cherry finish suit the design. Added stiffness does not guarantee greater impact toughness in every direction; evaluate the geometry, layer orientation and intended loads.
Important feeding guidance
This filament is stiff and somewhat brittle on the roll due to its manufacturing process. Avoid Bowden tubes with tight bends or similarly restrictive feed paths. Handle gently and use a smooth, low-stress feeding route.
Check your printer and feeding-system manufacturer’s guidance for filled filament. Do not assume the AMS-compatible title guarantees suitability for every machine or feed-path arrangement.
Printing Dark Cherry Carbon Fiber Extreme PETG PRO
Published nozzle temperature: 240–265°C. Heated bed: 80°C ±10°C. Use a nozzle diameter of 0.40 mm or larger. Tune flow, cooling, retraction and temperature for your printer and part geometry.
The filament is mildly abrasive to print nozzles. Use a hardened or wear-resistant nozzle suitable for carbon-fiber-filled materials.
Quality and specifications
Published diameter and roundness tolerances: ±0.02 mm or better. Refer to the available variant above for spool and diameter details.
Dark Cherry Carbon Fiber Extreme PETG PRO FAQ
Is this the same color as non-CF Dark Cherry?
No. The carbon-fiber version is darker, with a ripe-cherry color and slightly textured, opaque finish.
Why does the filament feel stiff on the roll?
The product’s manufacturing process produces stiff filament that can be somewhat brittle on the roll. Avoid tight bends, restrictive Bowden tubes and similarly stressed feed paths.
What nozzle should I use?
Use a hardened or wear-resistant nozzle suitable for abrasive filament, 0.40 mm or larger.
What temperatures are listed?
Published starting guidance is 240–265°C nozzle and 80°C ±10°C heated bed. Tune for your printer and build surface.
Can I try a sample first?
Yes. Try a Dark Cherry Carbon Fiber Extreme PETG sample coil to check the color, feeding route and printing settings.
